Onze VIP tickets & Early Birds waren afgelopen editie op enkele minuten uitverkocht, dus als je als VIP of Early Bird wenst deel te komen: twijfel niet te lang! We voorzien 28 VIP tickets. As a non-profit organisation with a lot of volunteers, we do a lot of effort to keep the price as low as possible and we will continue to do that! Because of the increasing prices of our suppliers during the past years, unfortunately, we are forced to do this.

 article_nlSinds vorig weekend zijn er <a class="external-link" href="http://www.fom.be/seatmaps/view" rel="nofollow" style="color: rgb(53, 114, 176); text-decoration-line: none;">zaalplan reservaties</a> mogelijk voor iedereen. Indien je een ticket gekocht hebt voor FoM 20.0, en je betaling is door ons ontvangen, dan kan je een plaats kiezen. (klik op het "seats" icoon aan de rechterzijde van deze web pagina, onder "quick links") Doe dit door een witte plaats te kiezen op het zaalplan. De gearceerde plaatsen zijn geblokkeerd voor selectie. Wanneer je een witte plaats reserveert, worden de gelockte plaatsen naast deze witte plaats vrij, en dus bruikbaar voor de rest van je team. De plaatsen met een kruisje zijn niet vrij om uit te kiezen. Dit zijn plaatsen die reeds gereserveerd zijn voor teams met tickets, maar zonder een finale lay-out van wie waar wenst te zitten binnen hun clan. Teams kunnen nog altijd een mailtje sturen naar <a class="external-link" href="mailto:seatmap@fom.be" rel="nofollow" style="color: rgb(53, 114, 176); text-decoration-line: none;">seatmap@fom.be</a> met de aanvraag voor een reeks plaatsen, en ook de indeling. Dit is vooral handig voor teams waarbij iedereen zelf zijn ticket koopt, maar iedereen mag gerust de hulp inroepen van de seatmap admins. Als je een mail stuurt voor assistentie van een admin, vermeld dan duidelijk elke gewenste plaats/plaatsnummer + nickname, zodat een admin ze kan toewijzen. Toewijzen kan uiteraard enkel en alleen gebeuren wanneer ticket(s) betaald zijn. Indien je plaats gereserveerd is, dan is dat niet noodzakelijk definitief. Een admin kan je nog steeds verplaatsen. Dit is vooral naar het einde toe gebruikelijk zodat verschillende lege plaatsen samengevoegd worden en er zo extra teams kunnen komen. Daarom is het belangrijk dat iedereen zijn clan juist zet in zijn profiel. Een admin zal steeds zorgen dat spelers met dezelfde clan samenzitten. De voornaamste reden waarom we deelnemers verplaatsen is omdat we, zo goed als, geen vrije plaatsen willen op ons zaalplan. Dit om de ruimte maximaal te kunnen benutten en ervoor te zorgen dat iedereen bij zijn of haar team kan zitten. Om de puzzel van ons zaalplan te laten kloppen moeten we deze verplaatsingen nu eenmaal doorvoeren. Voor de personen die een VIP ticket hebben: onze VIP manager zal elk team contacteren om een plaats in de VIP area te kiezen. Wie als eerste betaalde mag als eerste kiezen.  article_en<a href="http://www.fom.be/seatmaps/view">Seatmap reserverations</a> were opened up for everyone since last weekend. This means that for everyone that has a valid ticket for FoM 20.0, those participants can select a seat on our seatmap (click on the "seats" icon on the right side of this web page, under "quick links") Do this by clicking on a white square on the seatmap. Squares with tilted lines are locked. When you reserve a white square, the square next to it will be unlocked and becomes white. Your best friend or clanmate will then be able to reserve it and sit next to you. The squares with a “x” are disabled and will not be unlocked automatically. These are seats which are reserved for participants with tickets, but no team lay-out on who wants to sit where. Teams can still send an e-mail to seatmap@fom.be to reserve seats for their whole team. This is usefull for teams where everybody buys their own ticket through the webshop, but anyone should not hesitate to email the seatmap admins when they require help. If you send a mail for assistance of an admin, please mention very clear the seat numbers and associated nicknames. Admins can only reserve seats for valid tickets. If you have reserved a seat, please don't assume that this reservation is final. Admins can still give you a new seat. This is important near the end of the reservation period to make sure that random white squares come together to make room for extra teams. That’s why it is important that you select the right clan in your profile. Admins will always make sure that players of the same clan will be seated next to each other, and will not kick your reservation or change it to a random spot on the other side of the seatmap if you have the same clan in your profile as the people with seats next to you (or he would have to replace the whole team...). Every clan will have a separate colour on the seatmap. If you notice that the seat of your clan member has another colour, then please ask him to update his clan in his user profile. The main reason why we would move a participant to a different seat is to make sure we have (almost) no empty seats on our seatmap. Obviously to make sure we fill up every seat and to get everyone in a seat where they can sit together with their friend(s). Our seatmap puzzle has to fit in the end, so displacement is sometimes unavoidable. For the few lucky bastards who have a VIP ticket: our VIP manager will contact you to select your seats. This is because the VIP manager can ask us to rearrange the table positions in the VIP area to make sure that teams can sit together in 1 “island”.  article_nlVanaf FoM 20.0 gaan we een nieuwe compo structuur gebruiken voor de CS:GO competitie. Alle teams die meedingen in de CS:GO competitie zullen nog steeds, zoals vroeger, bij de start van de compo in 1 grote groepsfase van 4 teams per groep worden ingedeeld. Na de groepsfase worden de teams opgedeeld volgens een nieuwe regel: De winnaar van elke groep naar een pro bracket zal gaan. De 2de plaats per groep gaat naar een semi-pro bracket.De rest gaat naar een aparte fun bracket. De te spelen matchen in elke fase zijn als volgt: <ul> <li>Groepsfase > BO1 (best of 1)</li> <li>Winnaars bracket > BO3 (best of 3)</li> <li>Verliezers bracket > BO1 (best of 1)</li> <li>Semi-final (Finals in lower bracket) > BO3 (best of 3)</li> <li>Pro & semi-pro bracket: <ul> <li>Finale > BO5 (best of 5) met map voordeel</li> </ul> </li> <li>Fun bracket: <ul> <li>Finale > BO3 (best of 3) met map voordeel</li> </ul> </li> </ul> Waarom deze verandering? We willen de CS:GO compo nog competitiever maken en we willen de minder competitieve teams nog steeds een kans geven om plezier te hebben en toch wel meerdere matchen te kunnen spelen op onze LAN. De teams die in de fun-compo belanden moeten zich ervan bewust zijn dat we geen prijzen zullen voorzien, maar de winnaars zullen zich wel de eer en roem kunnen toekennen als beste amateur team. Wij hopen dat hierdoor de teams in de lagere rangen op deze manier toch kunnen opvallen tussen alles. Uiteraard is er ook een specifieke reden voor de admins en dat is dat wij op een manier moeten tegengaan dat de “betere” teams zich opzettelijk laten zakken naar, een voor hun makkelijkere, bracket en hierdoor prijzen wegslepen die niet voor hen bedoeld waren. Wij hopen dat deze regel voor elk team ten goede valt en dat iedereen plezier beleeft op FoM 20.0 Warmup servers Teneinde het mogelijk te maken om tijdens de lan nog snel de nade throws te oefenen, zullen we (mits beschikbaarheid) warmup servers voorzien. Deze zullen aangeduid zijn als warmup servers, en mogen niet gebruikt worden als war servers. All teams participating in the CS:GO competition will, like it was in the past, start off in a group stage with 4 teams per group. After the group stage there will be a new rule on how we split the teams: Following the pool stage, the winner from each pool will advance to a pro bracket, the team in second place from each pool will advance to a semi-pro bracket and other teams will proceed to a fun bracket. Our compo structure will use the following setup for pro, semi-pro and fun: <ul> <li>Groupstage > BO1 (best of 1)</li> <li>Upper Bracket > BO3 (best of 3)</li> <li>Lower Bracket > BO1 (best of 1)</li> <li>Semi-final (Finals in lower bracket) > BO3 (best of 3)</li> <li>Pro & semi-pro bracket: <ul> <li>Final > BO5 (best of 5) with map advantage</li> </ul> </li> <li>Fun bracket: <ul> <li>Final > BO3 (best of 3) with map advantage</li> </ul> </li> </ul> Why this change? In the first place, we would like to make the CS:GO compo more competitive and still allow the less competitive teams to learn and have fun. Without having to be knocked out of the competition after the minimum of non-engaging matches. The teams in the fun-bracket will not have any prices, equivalent to the other fun competitions at FoM. The winners will still receive the honor and fame associated with winning at FoM. We hope to give the lower ranked teams the opportunity to stand out and learn through this change. Of course we would like to stress that this change is the consequence of better teams purposely dropping to a more easy bracket, getting a simple prize-grab at the expense of others. The teams that wish to win prizes will have to fight for it. We hope this change will have a positive effect on all teams competing in the CS:GO compo and everyone has fun at FoM 20.0 Warmup servers To allow practicing nade throws or similar during the lan, we will (pending availability), provide warmup servers. These will be marked as such in the server list, and can’t be used as war servers. This new rule has been adjusted in our rulebook, which you can read <a href="http://www.fom.be/compos/view/215#tabs-7">here</a>. There’s also a new discord server (<a href="https://discord.gg/MbPY2ge">https://discord.gg/MbPY2ge</a>) that will be used during the competition. Om een zorgeloos en aangenaam weekend te beleven lijsten we hieronder nog een aantal belangrijke zaken op: Check-in: Frag-o-Matic 20.0 start 16 februari 2018 om 18:00. Na het openen van de deuren volgt de check-in.  article_nlDoor het vroege succes in de Tekken 7 competitie, hebben we een extra 16 plaatsen opengezet. Hierdoor vervroegen we de competitie met een uur maar hebben we een extra console ingeschakeld. Alle deelnemers worden bij de Game-Inn stand verwacht om 11u45. Het toernooi zou maximum tot 15u30 duren. Check de toernooipagina zelf voor meer info. We willen Game-Inn nogmaals bedankt dat we hun consoles mogen gebruiken voor deze compo. <img alt="" src="/img/upload/editor/fom200_tekken.jpg" style="height:340px; width:600px" />
 article_enDue to the early success in the Tekken 7 tournament, we opened up an additional 16 spots. Because of this we start the competition an hour earlier & we set up an additional console. All participants are expected at the Game-Inn booth at 11h45. The tournament will last at a maximum time of 15u30. Check the tournamentpage for additional info. Onze VIP tickets & Early Birds waren afgelopen editie op enkele minuten uitverkocht, dus als je als VIP of Early Bird wenst deel te komen: twijfel niet te lang! We voorzien 28 VIP tickets.
